How to handle Julian Edelman & Patriots WRs in Week 13 fantasy football

A trio of Patriots receivers dealing with injuries this week. Here’s what you need to know.

UPDATE: Mohamed Sanu and Phillip Dorsett are both ACTIVE for Week 13.

Is everyone on the New England Patriots roster listed as questionable this week? It sure seems that way, but if you can read into Bill Belichick’s injury reports, you can probably crack code for the NSC too. There is one position group we are most concerned with here, wide receivers Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, and Phillip Dorsett.

Edelman is listed as questionable this week, just like he is every week. And, guess what, he always plays anyway. This week shouldn’t be any different. He had a nice game against Dallas last week, and given the volume of targets, he’s a true No. 1 fantasy option for you.

After sitting out last week with an ankle injury, it appears that Sanu is on track to play this week. He practice all week, in a limited role, which is a good sign.

Dorsett suffered a concussion against the Eagles back in Week 11, but he cleared the league’s protocol earlier this week. That puts him on track to play this week where he’ll feature in three receiver sets.

Of the three, Edelman is far and away the best option. He always gets his targets, which you can’t say for the rest of the receivers on this team that can lean heavily on running backs and receivers from week to week, depending on the opponent.

A distant second is Dorsett, a deep threat who could hit a big play against a bad pass defense. Sanu is a toss up, and probably worth avoiding this week.
