How to handle Evan Engram & Rhett Ellison’s injuries in Week 13 fantasy football

The Giants top two tight ends are out this week.

This is going to be a tough week for the New York Giants, well, tougher than usual in another very forgettable season.

Evan Engram is out this week, again, with a foot injury. The team’s No. 1 tight end has not seen the field, even for practice, since he got hurt back in Week 9. The next name on the depth chart, Rhett Ellison, is not playing this week either. And with wide receiver Golden Tate also on the shelf this week, the Giants will have less offensive talent than normal.

Obviously neither one of these guys has any fantasy relevance this week. Moving down the depth chart takes us to Kaden Smith. He was targeted six times last week against the Bears, and he caught five of those passes for a grand total of 17 yards.

And this week the Giants get the Packers, one of the league’s better defenses this season. If you need a tight end, even just a streamer for this week, you can do better than Smith.
