Tate sprained his MCL in the Bengals’ Week 14 loss to the Cleveland Browns and was unable to return to the game. With Tate on IR, that effectively ends his season for Cincy, which hasn’t even been playing for anything since September. The Bengals called up Damion Willis, so he may get a crack at some snaps this week.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Cincinnati Bengals WR Auden Tate
Now that Tate is on IR, you can feel free to drop him. Maybe if you’re in a keeper league that’s extreme deep, you hold onto him in hopes that A.J. Green bolts and the Bengals offense improves with a new QB next season. But that’s a stretch. As for DFS, with Green also out, Tyler Boyd and Alex Erickson are really the only options in the passing game for Andy Dalton vs. the New England Patriots this week. Willis may get a few looks, but it’s not in a reliable fantasy environment. The Pats have one of the best defenses in the NFL.
