FRIDAY UPDATE: Jacobs listed as questionable.

THURSDAY UPDATE: Josh Jacobs got in a second practice on Thursday.

UPDATE: Jon Gruden told the media that Josh Jacobs has been cleared to return to practice, according to beat writer Matt Kawahara. Gruden said that does not necessarily mean Jacobs will play on Sunday, however.

Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs appears to have avoided a lengthy absence due to his shoulder injury. Jacobs underwent an MRI on his shoulder and it checked out “very positively,” according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.

Jacobs suffered the shoulder injury in Week 7 and played through it until missing Week 14. Rapoport is hearing the injury was only a one-week absence barring a setback. Barring that setback, he would likely get a pain-killer and play.

Fantasy football analysis: Raiders RB Josh Jacobs

DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard were popular waiver wire pick-ups last minute on Sunday and then throughout the beginning of this week. If Jacobs is active, they hold no value. The Raiders play a 4:05 p.m. game, so if Jacobs gets another questionable tag, we’ll be stucking waiting until then. If you picked up Washington or Richard, it is worth hanging onto them until we know for sure whether or not Jacobs will play in Week 15.
