A.J. Green to miss Week 15 practice, but still wants to play in 2019

The Cincinnati Bengals face the New England Patriots in Week 15, and A.J. Green is likely to be sidelined once again. Head coach Zac Taylor said Green is still hoping to play before the end of the season, according to team reporter Geoff Hobson.

Green has been out since tearing ligaments in his ankle in training camp. He briefly returned to practice midway through the season, but has been a DNP ever since dealing with swelling after the bye.

Fantasy football analysis: Bengals wide receivers

The Bengals placed Auden Tate on injured reserve this week due to a sprained MCL. With Green unlikely to play, that leaves Tyler Boyd, John Ross, and Alex Erickson as the primary receivers for Andy Dalton.

They face the best pass defense in the NFL this weekend as the Patriots have dominated moist anybody except the very best passing attacks. Boyd is a decent PPR start in most formats this weekend and Erickson is a decent PPR start in deeper leagues. Ross has some upside, but in just his second start back from injured reserve, it’s hard to justify starting him.
