Devonte’ Graham’s breakout season reaches new heights

Graham drops career-high 40 points in road win over Nets.

Many people (myself included) figured the Hornets would be one of the worst teams in the league after losing Kemba Walker in the offseason. By no means have they been great, however Charlotte is much more competitive than anticipated. Devonte’ Graham ($8,300) is the main reason why. Since moving into the starting lineup, he’s averaging over 20 points per game and tonight was his signature performance. He scored 40 points and 56.25 DKFP playing the Nets in Brooklyn. Graham appears to be heading towards being named an All-Star.

For the Nets, this loss breaks a three-game winning streak. This was certainly an unexpected result since the 10-point spread indicated the Nets were one of the teams most likely to win tonight. The team might be starting to miss Kyrie Irving, who has to be cleared for contact. He’s missed the last 13 games and it’s unclear when he will be able to return.
