After we had a heavy 11-game slate on Wednesday, things cool off a bit on Thursday night with four games in the Association. The top matchup pits the Philadelphia 76ers (18-7) against the Boston Celtics (17-5) at TD Garden. These two rivals have plenty of bad blood and are fighting for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Boston is undefeated at home this season at 10-0, while the Sixers have struggled on the road (5-7).
Other than that, we’ll be monitoring Kevin Love for the Cleveland Cavaliers (5-18) when they take on the San Antonio Spurs (9-14) in San Antonio. Love has been the talk of trade rumors lately and could be dealt soon.
The next stop on the Carmelo Anthony reunion tour this week is in Denver, with the Portland Trail Blazers (10-15) taking on the Denver Nuggets (14-8). Melo was drafted by the Nuggets No. 3 overall back in 2003.
Let’s take a look at the opening spread and point total for each game Thursday night:
76ers @ Celtics (-1, 210) 8:00 p.m. ET
Cavaliers @ Spurs (-10.5, 218.5) 8:30 p.m. ET
