Both are expected to return to the lineup Saturday.

Memphis Grizzlies rookies Ja Morant and Brandon Clarke will not play Friday vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.

This is simply maintenance to keep both youngsters fresh, as Morant just recently returned from a back injury while Clarke has been dealing with an oblique issue.

Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Memphis Grizzlies lineup

With Morant out, Tyus Jones should step into the starting lineup at PG. He’s played a decent amount off the bench, but would make for a nice value play on Friday’s DFS slate starting for Morant. With Clarke sidelined, that could mean more run for Solomon Hill, though he doesn’t offer much fantasy basketball upside. Since this is just a maintenance day, we don’t have to react harshly to this news in season-long fantasy basketball. Just get Morant back in on Saturday. Clarke probably isn’t worth owning unless it’s a keeper format.
