The San Francisco 49ers are having an outstanding season and they look to continue their winning ways against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15. One may wonder if Jimmy Garoppolo has any touchdowns left in the tank after a Week 14 track meet vs. the Saints, which saw him complete 26 of 35 pass attempts for 349 yards and four touchdowns. We break down the Week 15 fantasy implications below.
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo
Coming off of his third best fantasy performance of the season, Jimmy Garoppolo faces an Atlanta Falcons pass defense that has been an enigma this year, to say the least. The Falcons have allowed an average of 26.4 points and 272.9 yards passing per game. They have allowed greater than 24 fantasy points per game to the likes Jameis Winston, Jared Goff, and Kyler Murray this season, but they have also held Drew Brees to less than 12 points twice. It is tough to know which Falcons secondary will show up on a weekly basis.
The inconsistency of the Atlanta secondary is difficult to predict, but something that is much more reliable to consider is the dynamic 49ers offense. The 49ers are averaging an impressive 30.5 points per game. Garoppolo has a handful of reliable targets to rely upon in George Kittle, Emmanuel Sanders, Deebo Samuel, and touchdown phenom Kendrick Bourne. Garoppolo is also blessed with three running backs that are more than capable of catching passes out of the backfield.
With a stable of capable pass catchers on his side, and a team that is on a roll as of late, one can expect continued production from Garoppolo.
