The Pittsburgh Steelers are not expected to have wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster in Week 15, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Smith-Schuster was listed as limited in practice on Thursday after getting in a full workout on Wednesday. Schefter tweeted that he aggravated his knee injury and is not expected to play.
Smith-Schuster injured his knee in Week 11 and had only recently gotten back to practice. His status for Week 16 is unclear.
Fantasy football analysis: Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster
This bodes well for James Washington, who has become a big part of the Steelers offense in his second season. He only had four receptions for 33 yards last week, but has scored a touchdown and surpassed 90 yards receiving three of the previous four weeks.
Diontae Johnson has been another beneficiary, but has been much more inconsistent. He’s coming off a solid performance with six receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown. The Steelers face a tough Bills defense in Week 15. Washington is a decent start, while Johnson should be avoided this week.
