Best daily fantasy football running back plays under $6,000

We give you three value running backs who should help you make a good daily fantasy lineup in Week 15

For a second it looked like we might get DeAndre Washington starting against the hapless Jaguars run defense but Josh Jacobs looks likely to return after getting good news on his MRI. That doesn’t leave any smash spots for cheaper running backs but there are three very much worth your time this week.

Phillip Lindsay, Broncos ($5,600) at Chiefs

Lindsay has 18 and 20 touches in his last two games and has out-touched Royce Freeman since their Week 10 bye, 70 to 32. In that span he’s averaged 17.5 touches a game. Unfortunately the extra work hasn’t paid off for his fantasy backers but he did get into the end zone last week against Houston and this week he faces a weak Chiefs run defense. Kansas City has given up the third-most fantasy points to running backs this season.

James White, Patriots ($5,400) at Bengals

White has been the only Patriots running back to have any luck offensively of late and there’s a chance that Julian Edelman sits this week. He’s a good value play against the Bengals either way but if Edelman is out, White’s PPR upside gets a huge bump. The Bengals allow the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs this season and don’t have any linebackers who could think about stopping White as a receiver.

Raheem Mostert, 49ers ($5,200) vs. Falcons

The 49ers backfield has been especially annoying this season, especially when you consider how strong their running game has been. Picking the top scorer each week has become nearly impossible, but it’s still worth a try. Mostert has lead the 49ers backfield the last two weeks and put up huge numbers over the last three weeks. Over that span he’s rushed 35 times for 260 yards and three touchdowns and caught 5-of-7 targets for 70 yards and another touchdown. Tevin Coleman had been leading the committee but Mostert plainly out-played him and over the last two games has 33 touches to Coleman’s nine and Breida’s 7.
