Patrick Mahomes hasn’t been the Mahomes of last season, but when healthy, Tyreek Hill has put up big numbers. The last two weeks have been down for Hill but his track record this season is good enough, as he continues to see great target numbers with 8, 8, 19, 9, 9, 5, 10 in every full game he’s played.
Sammy Watkins is getting decent target numbers but hasn’t been doing much with them, as he hasn’t scored a touchdown since Week 1 when he went off with three. Since then, he hasn’t topped 64 yards either.
Fantasy football analysis: Kansas City Chiefs WRs Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins
The Broncos pass defense has taken a dip of late, allowing big receiver games in their last four against Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and DeAndre Hopkins. Chris Harris’ shut down capabilities have hit a snag and Tyreek Hill should be able to take advantage at Arrowhead.
In Week 7 Hill caught three passes for 74 yards and a touchdown on just five targets. I expect those targets to go up this week at home. As for Watkins, he hasn’t done enough for us to trust him. He’s lost the step which allows him to rack up yards after the catch and he’s become a glorified Adam Humphries at this point.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Hill.
Sit Watkins.
