The Tennessee Titans kept the pressure on the Texans by picking up an easy win over the Raiders in Week 14. Now, they’ll REALLY apply the pressure as they host the division-leading Texans on Sunday. The Titans passing game has been extremely efficient under the leadership of Ryan Tannehill, but can we predict which receiver will flourish?
Fantasy Football Analysis: Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown
Brown is a special talent. Unfortunately for fantasy purposes, he plays on the Titans. The only consistent scorers are Tannehill and Derrick Henry. But that’s not to say that you shouldn’t take a risk on Brown. When he gets involved, he has an extremely high ceiling, as displayed last week.
In the past three games, Brown has had two 135+ receiving yard performances. Week 14’s explosion marked his second game of the season with two receiving touchdowns. Now, he’ll head into a matchup against a Texans defense that has allowed the sixth-most passing yards per game. Considering the implications (winner holds the title lead), we could see both teams pulling out all the stops. Or we could see both teams being extra careful resulting in a low-scoring game. But neither side typically thrives in low-scoring games, so expect the former.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis
While all of the same game flow points apply to Corey Davis, he is a FAR less reliable option. Since Tannehill took over as QB, Davis has seen his target total steadily decline. Last week was the first occurrence where he trending upwards with two catches on four targets. That’s obviously not enough to garner trust as a fantasy player, though. Corey Davis is touchdown-dependent, and that’s something he hasn’t accomplished since in the past five weeks.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start A.J. Brown as a WR3.
Sit Corey Davis.
