Jared Goff looked absolutely lost there for a big stretch of the season but has looked better over his last two games. That may not be enough to lock him into your lineups though, as he’s had 15 touchdowns to 14 interceptions in 13 games this season and has poor road splits so far in his career.
Goff seems to be getting things turned around, as he’s completed 73 percent of his passes at a 9.7 yards per attempt clip over his last three games. Sean McVay still has some tricks up his sleeve and he is getting Goff into more favorable situations while Robert Woods and Tyler Higbee have upped their games.
Fantasy football analysis: Los Angeles Rams QB Josh Allen
His matchup with the Cowboys isn’t awful, as Dallas has slipped against the pass recently, giving up the tenth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the last eight games. Mitch Trubisky, Josh Allen and Jeff Driskel have all put up big numbers against them over the last four weeks.
Six of the last eight quarterbacks Dallas has faced have finished as QB12 or better and this week is a big game for both teams’ playoff hopes. Those raised stakes should push these teams to keep the intensity up until the final bell. It will be hard to trust him in the fantasy playoffs but Goff, in good weather, against a poor Cowboys defense, is worthy of a back-end QB1 play.
