Josh Allen continues to supplement his passing stats with rushing stats, giving him the fourth-most fantasy points on the season. Last week his consistency took a hit as the Ravens held him to his lowest fantasy total since Week 4 against the Patriots. Their strategy was to blitz early and often which caused him to complete just 1-of-16 passes against pressure. That strategy also kept him from running, as he had his worst rushing stats on the season.
Fantasy football analysis: Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen
This week Allen heads to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers tough defensive line. Unlike the Ravens, they don’t need to blitz as often to get to the quarterback, which does not bode well for Allen if he continues to have trouble completing passes under pressure.
Allen’s track record this season is great and should give anyone pause if they look to sit him but this Steelers defense hasn’t allowed a quarterback to top 200 yards in their last four games and have given up 15 touchdown passes to 17 interceptions and 6.4 yards per attempts in their last 11 games while placing third-best in adjusted sack rate.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Allen.
