GAME STATUS UPDATE: Josh Jacobs is ACTIVE for Week 15.
UPDATE: Jacobs is expected to play, per Ian Rapoport.
Arguably the most-monitored player in fantasy football this week – in both season-long and DFS – is Raiders rookie running back Josh Jacobs. Hampered by a shoulder injury that required an MRI at the beginning of the week after missing Week 14 against the Titans, Jacobs appears ready to return.
The MRI came back clean and Jacobs practiced Thursday and Friday, so despite earning an official questionable tag, it appears the exciting rookie will indeed see the field against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that has been routinely getting gashed by opposing running backs.
Fantasy football analysis: Raiders RBs Josh Jacobs, DeAndre Washington
Before Jacobs returned to the practice field this week, it looked like DeAndre Washington was Raider runner to own in season-long – he was among the top waiver-wire selections at the beginning of the week – but now it appears Washington can at best hope for a cameo role behind Jacobs in the Raiders’ final home game in Oakland before moving to Las Vegas next season.
Jacobs said Friday he will play on Sunday despite the fracture in his shoulder, and that he will not require surgery after the season. Barring any last-minute news that suggests otherwise, consider Jacobs an elite RB1 play on Sunday.
