The Denver Broncos travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15, and tight end Noah Fant is expected to be available for the game. Fant sat out Wednesday practice with hip and foot issues, and then was limited on Thursday and Friday. He was listed as questionable on the final injury report, but NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and James Palmer are reporting he will play.
Last week, Fant had four receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown against the Houston Texans. It marked his second 100+ yard, touchdown effort of the season.
Fantasy football analysis: Broncos TE Noah Fant
The Chiefs have struggled against tight ends, giving up the sixth most fantasy points to the position. It’s a great matchup in what could be a shootout with Drew Lock impressing of late.
Fant has been boom or bust all season for fantasy owners. He had the 113 yards and one touchdown last week. The two weeks prior to that he totaled four receptions for 19 yards. He had four receptions for 60 yards in Week 11 and three for 115 and a touchdown in Week 10 before the team’s bye. Prior to that he had never exceeded 37 receiving yards.
Fant could finally be catching on, but he’s still a risky play. The tight end position has a lot of issues, so it’s worth some risk. He’s worth starting, but temper expectations.
