Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry is officially active for Week 15 vs. the Houston Texans. Henry, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, was expected to play, per reports that came out late Saturday night. He did however miss practice all week due to the injury, which is a bit of a red flag in such a high profile fantasy football week.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry
So Henry obviously is a risky play, but he’s also been a workhorse all season and is a top 5 running back in 2019. It’s tough to view a scenario where you bench him in the semifinal of your playoffs, but it’s something to consider given the nature of the injury and how hamstrings have a high risky of re-injury during the game.
Still, I’m always the type of person that says “ride the guys who got you here.” If Henry is active and feels good enough to play, I think you have to play him. Unless you have a bonafide RB1 on your bench or in a FLEX spot, or you have two OK RBs and more depth at WR in PPR, sit Henry. Otherwise, you have to play him. This is a huge game for both teams with the AFC South on the line. Plus, Houston’s run defense is very vulnerable. I say, roll Henry out there and hope for the best (this is what I’m doing in my semifinal FWIW).
