Dwayne Haskins impressive in Week 15 loss to Eagles

Dwayne Haskins slices through the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense in the first half of a divisional showdown in Washington

Update: Haskins finished the game having completed 19 of 28 pass attempts for 261 yards and two touchdowns. He also added four rushes for 26 yards and had a costly fumble leading to an Eagles TD on the final play of the game. He finished with 19.0 fantasy points.

Washington leads the Philadelphia Eagles 14-10 in the closing minutes of the first half of Week 15. The key on offense has been rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins. He has completed seven of eight passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns for 13.4 fantasy points. He connected with Terry McLaurin for a 75 yard TD early on and later found Steven Sims Jr. in the back of the end zone for a five yard score.

Washington is playing for nothing more than divisional pride at this point, as their playoff hopes were extinguished a long time ago. However, this is a promising performance for the future of the franchise. This is Haskin’s best performance of his rookie campaign since he took over the reigns of the offense midway through the season.

Prior to this game, Haskins’ season high was 17.1 fantasy points and he has yet to score more than two touchdowns in any game. If Washington can pull off a win here, they may spoil the Eagles’ playoff chances, as they are currently locked in a battle with the Dallas Cowboys to be the best of the worst division in football, the NFC East.
