Eagles get critical bad beat win over Washington on late Greg Ward touchdown

What a bad beat....

The Philadelphia Eagles have handled their business in Week 15, if just barely. Carson Wentz found Greg Ward Jr. in the back of the end zone on a four-yard touchdown pass to complete the comeback in a 37-27 win. The Eagles added a “meaningless” defensive touchdown as time expired, but that only implicated sports bettors.

The win is crucial as Philly entered the week tied with Dallas atop the NFC East. The Cowboys still have to play in the late afternoon slate, but next week is what matters. Philly hosts Dallas and the winner will take a relatively commanding lead in the mediocre NFC East.

The Eagles were 6.5-point favorites in this game and had taken a 31-27 lead in the closing seconds. Washington pushed for a miracle comeback, but Dwayne Haskins was sacked on the Eagles 42. He fumbled the ball and Nigel Bradham picked up the ball and ran it back 47 yards for a touchdown as time expired. If you bet Washington +6.5, we’re sorry.
