We’ve got seven games on the schedule in the NBA for Monday night. There are a few interesting narratives to go over, including what could have been a major matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks enter Monday on an 18-game winning streak and the Mavs would have had a shot to end that. Now, Dallas is without Luka Doncic (ankle) and things may not be as competitive. Still, I won’t count out the Mavs, but it’d be tough to knock off Milwaukee on the road even with Eric Bledsoe out and Giannis Antetokounmpo dealing with a quad injury.
The other narrative worth mentioning is the Houston Rockets-San Antonio Spurs controversy. The last time these two teams played the Rockets appeared to be coasting to an easy win. Then it all unraveled. James Harden had an easy breakaway dunk, but misconception by the referees led to the dunk not counting. After that, the Spurs charged back and forced OT, only to pick up the win. Houston tried to contest the ruling, but were shot down. I can only imagine the Rockets and Harden will be plenty motivated to get that win back tonight.
