Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart missed practice Monday and apparently the infection he’s dealing with has spread from one eye to the other. So that’s both eyes infected, which is very bad news for Smart.

Smart has missed the past three games and four of the past five games for the Celtics while dealing with the infection. He was also hurting from an oblique injury, similar to the one he suffered in last year’s playoffs.

With Smart sidelined for the foreseeable future, we can continue to look at Brad Wanamaker as the backup guard off the bench. But it appears that coach Brad Stevens will roll with a tight rotation of Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Gordon Hayward in crunch time in close games.
