UPDATE #5: Suns GM James Jones said on AZSports Radio that the team hopes to have Booker back soon.

UPDATE #4: Booker has officially been ruled out for Tuesday’s game vs. the Clippers. So with Booker out again and Deandre Ayton back in the lineup, I still think Rubio and Oubre are solid GPP plays. I’d expect Bridges to struggle a bit dealing with Kawhi and PG-13, but he’s cheap enough on DK to justify playing him.

UPDATE #3: Booker is now doubtful for Tuesday night’s game vs. the Los Angeles Clippers.

Booker was held out of last night’s game vs. the Blazers and it doesn’t appear that he’ll be able to make it back for tonight’s home matchup with Kawhi Leonard and the Clips. We’ve also got no Tyler Johnson or Cam Johnson, but that’s nothing new.

With Booker out again, Mikal Bridges ($4,400) will start and is an OK GPP value play, but has a tough matchup going up against Kawhi and Paul George. Deandre Ayton ($7,400) is set to return from his 25-game suspension, so he could jump right in and be tasked with carrying the offense. I’m not crazy about him at this price though, considering the Clippers are a strong defensive unit. Ricky Rubio ($7,600) and Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6,700) are decent tournament plays.

UPDATE #2: Booker has officially been ruled out for tonight’s game vs. the Blazers.

UPDATE: Booker is unlikely to play tonight vs. the Trail Blazers, per coach Monty Williams.

So with Booker looking like he’ll be out again, I’d say it’s safe to roll out Rubio again in cash games on DraftKings despite a high price at $7,900. I’d also expect Kelly Oubre ($7,000) to take on more scoring with no Booker. MIkal Bridges ($4,100) is another great value play tonight as he’ll most likely start again.

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (forearm) is a game-time decision for Monday night’s game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers.

Booker was unable to play over the weekend against the San Antonio Spurs due to a forearm injury. He mentioned that his wrist had been bothering him before being ruled out, and coach Monty Williams said we’ll find out more on Booker later.

Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Phoenix Suns SG Devin Booker

Booker is priced up at $8,900 on DraftKings, so that price is a lot to invest in someone with so many question marks heading into tonight’s slate. I imagine we’ll get some news before tip-off, but the game is the last to lock on the slate, so having Booker in your lineup would mean you’d need to pivot to Damian Lillard ($8,400) or Ricky Rubio ($7,900). So if Booker is your PG, you’d be leaving a lot of money on the table. It’s just too risky a move in my eyes.

For season-long, it’s really just seeing if Booker can play and if he’s going to be limited. I’d probably, again, be cautious and consider playing someone over Booker for tonight and leaving him on your bench until he’s 100% healthy.
