The DraftKings Super Pool pick ‘em contest is coming down the home stretch, and the race for $250,000 is going to come down to the wire. Contestant c4242e and mruane head into Week 16 tied atop the leaderboard. They have both used up their remaining picks, so we should see more shuffling in the leaderboard this week.

Pick ‘em contests have grown in popularity with the widening legalization of sports betting. The DraftKings contest offers significantly more flexibility than others with how contestants can make picks. The contest began in Week 4 and requires contestants make 70 picks over the course of the season from Week 4 to Week 17. That averages out to five picks per week, but you are not required to make five picks every week.

It could get interesting in this final stretch for users vgironda and Gernardi. They are tied with 46 correct picks. The former is one back of the co-leaders and has four picks remaining. The latter is two back of the co-leaders and has five picks remaining. One of those two has the best chance of taking home the top prize.

This past weekend, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, and New England Patriots were the top three most correctly picked teams. This is the third straight week the Bucs have been in the top three most correctly picked teams. They’re on a roll but hosting a tough Houston Texans team in Week 16 as a 3.5-point underdog. Could they make it a fourth straight week as a popular winner?

On the other side, the Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans, and Los Angeles Chargers were the three most popular losing picks. The Rams were getting bet heavily against the Dallas Cowboys and then got crushed by the Cowboys.

Heading into Week 16, the Cowboys-Eagles game is going to be an interesting one. Both teams have struggled to get on track, but given the Cowboys big win over the Rams, we could see a surge in Cowboys picks over Philly this weekend.
