UPDATE: Randle and Ntilikina are both going to play Friday vs. the Heat.
Frank Ntilikina and Julius Randle are both good to play tonight. Wayne Ellington isn't back yet. Reggie Bullock had his first live contact yesterday so he's on a longer timeline. https://t.co/OvZDkNNmSN— Mike Vorkunov (@MikeVorkunov) December 20, 2019
So nothing really changes here. Ntilikina has been starting but will probably cede minutes to Payton and DSJ off the bench. Randle seems to be fine to roll out in season-long and DFS, but not somebody I’d recommend heavily given the tough road matchup.
UPDATE: Randle practiced Thursday and is expected to play Friday vs. the Miami Heat.
Julius Randle and Frank Ntilikina both participated in practice and are expected to play tomorrow in Miami. Knicks are trying to win for the fourth time in five games. Allonzo Trier (concussion) and Wayne Ellington (sore Achilles) remain out.— Stefan Bondy (@SBondyNYDN) December 19, 2019
Medical Update: Frank Ntilikina (illness) and Julius Randle (sore left leg) will not practice today.— NY_KnicksPR (@NY_KnicksPR) December 18, 2019
Randle is dealing with a sore left leg and it appears he may be questionable for Friday’s contest vs. Miami. He finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the Knicks’ blowout win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. Randle only played 23 minutes in that game, but mostly due to the game script. PG Frank Ntilikina is also dealing with an illness that may put his playing status in question. Ntilikina had just three points in 18 minutes the other night vs. the Hawks and has taken a back seat to Elfrid Payton and R.J. Barrett at the PG position for New York.
