Point guard’s name has been brought up in multiple reports during trade season.

New Orleans Pelicans PG Jrue Holiday is indeed available in trade talks, Marc Stein of The New York Times confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

Holiday’s name first popped up during a Trade Season Special courtesy of ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe on Sunday. The two mentioned that Holiday could get moved and Lowe even stated that his favorite sleeper destination for the guard would be the Denver Nuggets.

That’s just speculation, but it seems likely that New Orleans will send out a few players in hopes of rebuilding in a lost season. The Pels are on a 12-game losing streak heading into Wednesday vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves and aren’t rushing rookie Zion Williamson back to try and save the team.

Holiday is one of the more underrated guards in the NBA. He’s averaging 19.5 points, 6.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game along with 1.7 steals. Holiday is a solid defender and would be able to push a contending team or a team trying to make a playoff push, over the edge.
