The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to get wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster back for a key Week 16 matchup against the New York Jets. Smith-Schuster was limited in practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury that sidelined him since Week 11.
Smith-Schuster was on track to get back in Week 15 after a full workout last Wednesday. However, he aggravated the knee and was listed as limited on Thursday and a DNP on Friday.
Fantasy football analysis: Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster
If JuJu can play, it would decrease the value of James Washington and Diontae Johnson. Washington would still hold some value given how he has emerged in recent weeks, while Johnson would be someone to sit and consider un-rostering if you need an extra body for your championship game.
It’s hard to tell right now just what kind of work Smith-Schuster would get in his first game back. He’s not a must start at this point, but you have to assess your other options. He’s a fringe WR2 at this point at best given the circumstances in Pittsburgh.
