UPDATE #2: Gasol is expected to miss a period of weeks due to his hamstring injury, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Toronto Raptors center Marc Gasol will miss a period of weeks with a left hamstring injury, league sources tell ESPN.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) December 19, 2019
So with this news, we can expect Serge Ibaka to replace him in the starting lineup and get a ton of minutes moving forward. He’s a must-add if you own Gasol and if he’s available you need to scoop him up. Ibaka had a huge game against Detroit, scoring 25 points with 13 rebounds in 31 minutes. OG Anunoby should also see more playing time at forward.
UPDATE: Gasol will be evaluated Thursday and we’ll have an update after that.

Both Marc Gasol (left hamstring strain) and Norman Powell (left shoulder injury) will be reevaluated Thursday in Toronto, and an update will be provided as appropriate.
UPDATE: Ibaka has started the second half in place of Gasol, which is what we expected really.
Left hamstring strain for Gasol. He will not return.— Eric Smith (@Eric__Smith) December 19, 2019
Gasol sustained a hamstring strain early in the first quarter and had to limp to the locker room, being helped by teammate Kyle Lowry along the way. Gasol only played eight minutes, scoring no points with two steals. He was replaced by Serge Ibaka in the lineup.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Toronto Raptors C Marc Gasol
With Gasol out for the rest of the game, we should see a lot of Ibaka. He’s already got four points off the bench and the Raps will need his size to deal with Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin. Pascal Siakam appears in line for potentially 40 minutes tonight with a short bench, plus OG Anunoby will probably also see more run.
