NBA DFS Picks: Top targets to consider on DraftKings for Dec. 19

Here are some core players to get into your lineups for Thursday night’s four-game slate on Draftkings.

Even though are only four games tonight, we aren’t lacking in star power. The Lakers are taking on the Bucks and the Clippers play the Rockets. Almost all the top scoring DFS players are on the slate.

Point Guard

Dejounte Murray, SAS vs. BKN, $5,700 — I am pretty bullish on the fantasy upside for Murray going forward. After spending most of the season coming off the bench and playing restricted minutes, Gregg Popovich announced last week that Murray no longer has a playing time constraint. As a result, he’s playing slightly over 30 minutes per game and averaging 35.5 DKFP in his last two games.

Other option: Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN at SAS, $7,900

Shooting Guard

Donovan Mitchell, UTA at ATL, $8,000Mike Conley’s comeback did not last long. Returning from a hamstring injury, he aggravated the injury in his first game back, leading the Jazz to rule him out ahead of tonight’s game. Conley is likely going to be out for a little while. In his absence look for Mitchell to handle more of the point guard duties and he draws a fantastic individual matchup against Trae Young ($9,800). Young finished last season ranked last in the league in defensive real plus-minus and the Hawks allowed the Knicks to score 143 point in their last game.

Other option: Khris Middleton, MIL vs. LAL, $6,300

Small Forward

LeBron James, LAL at MIL, $10,000Anthony Davis ($10,100) is biggest name on the injury report tonight. He’s questionable to play after sitting out last game with an ankle injury and the Lakers are going to need a big game from LeBron if AD is unable to play. When Davis is off the court, James has a 38.6% usage rating and scored 59 DKFP per 36 minutes.

Other option: Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL vs. LAL, $11,300

Power Forward

Kawhi Leonard, LAC vs. HOU, $9,200 — Towards the end of November, Kawhi fell into a shooting slump, which he has more than broken out of in his last few games. He’s made at least half his shots in three of his last four games, averaging 29.75 points over this stretch. In two games against the Rockets this season, Leonard is putting up 49.25 DKFP per game.

Other option: Taurean Prince, BKN at SAS, $5,600

Center

JaVale McGee, LAL at MIL, $4,600 — If Anthony Davis ends up getting ruled out, McGee and Dwight Howard ($5,000) are going to have to anchor the Lakers in the post. With AD out last game, both JaVale and Dwight returned solid value. McGee started and scored 27 DKFP, while Howard came off the bench and delivered 30 DKFP.

Other option: Clint Capela, HOU at LAC, $7,600
