The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made official what everybody has been expecting this week. The team ruled wide receiver Chris Godwin out for Week 16 due to his hamstring injury. Head coach Bruce Arians told the media, “I would hope so,” when asked if he thinks Godwin can make it back for Week 17, according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine.
Fantasy football analysis: Bucs wide receivers
Breshad Perriman is the must-own of the Bucs receivers. Jameis Winston is going to offer up plenty of targets against a shaky Texans pass defense. Perriman is a strong volume play on Saturday.
Justin Watson will start opposite Perriman with Godwin out and Mike Evans and Scotty Miller both on injured reserve. Two weeks ago, Watson stepped up when Evans got hurt and caught five of eight targets for 59 yards and a touchdown. Last week, he was only targeted twice and finished with two receptions for 17 yards. Tight end O.J. Howard is a big beneficiary in this group, but Watson should see an increase in targets in Week 16.
