The Los Angeles Rams face a must-win game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16, and they will welcome back tight end Gerald Everett from a knee injury. Everett was listed as limited on Tuesday, but full on Wednesday and Thursday before being removed from the final injury report.
Everett has been out since injuring his knee in Week 12. Tyler Higbee filled in for him and has had three straight huge weeks. In Week 13, he caught seven of eight targets for 107 yards and a touchdown. In Week 14, he caught seven of 11 targets for 116 yards. In Week 15, he caught 12 of 14 targets for 111 yards.
On Wednesday, head coach Sean McVay told the media the team is “just kind of feeling it out ... as we complete the game plan and kind of figure out exactly what that looks like and what his involvement would be,” per ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry.
Fantasy football analysis: Rams TEs Gerald Everett, Tyler Higbee
This is not an ideal situation if you are counting on Everett or Higbee this weekend. The 49ers rank second best in terms of fantasy points allowed to tight ends. With a potential rotation, you are best suited looking elsewhere. If you don’t have that luxury, I’d probably rank Higbee above Everett, but there’s guess-work in play here.
