UPDATE #2: Chris Carson has returned to the game and is splitting carries with Rashaad Penny.

UPDATE: Carson has been cleared of a head injury, but the team announced he is questionable to return.

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson has gone down on the team’s first drive after taking a knee to the head at the end of a run. Jacob Hollister accidentally kneed Carson in the head and the running back immediately went down. He was eventually able to walk off the field and went into the medical tent.

Carson had rushed three times for 12 yards at the time of the injury. Rashaad Penny will replace Carson in the starting lineup. Penny had one rush for five yards before Carson got hurt. Last week, Penny was the hot hand, supplanting Carson for much of the day. He finished with 14 rushes for 129 yards and a touchdown. Carson had eight rushes for 26 yards in the game.
