Though the Cardinals have been out of the playoff picture for some time now, they were able to play the spoiler to the Browns’ season last week in Arizona. The 38-24 win was the Cardinals’ largest margin of victory this season, which gives them something positive to build off of for 2020’s campaign. Meanwhile, the Seahawks got back on top of the NFC West with a road win over the Panthers. Although every game is important, Seattle’s division title hopes will come down to next week’s fight with the 49ers. And with Bobby Wagner and Jadeveon Clowney both dealing with injuries, the degree of difficulty has increased a little bit.
The running game erupted for both teams last week. The fall of David Johnson (DFS salary $4,700) and the rise of Kenyan Drake ($6,300) was very clearly put on display as Drake rushed for 137 yards and four touchdowns. On the Seahawks’ side, Chris Carson ($8,500) filled out his lead role with 133 rushing yards and two touchdowns of his own. Though, this week both defenses rank in the bottom four for passing yards allowed. Kyler Murray ($6,100) and Russell Wilson ($7,000) will both have an opportunity to shine, though the latter’s experience and skill should propel Seattle to victory.
When they met back in Week 4, the Seahawks won 27-10. I’d expect a similar outcome, even 12 weeks later. Both teams have hit the over more often than not, but, while this is projected to be the highest-scoring game of the week, there’s a good possibility that the Seahawks defense shuts down the Cardinals offense. I’ll take Seattle to cover and the under.
