The Dallas Mavericks continue to be linked to veteran forward Andre Iguodala, The New York Times’ Marc Stein reported Friday.
The Mavericks continue to be linked to Andre Iguodala, but league sources say Dallas is not actively pursuing a trade for the Memphis swingman and does not plan to— Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) December 20, 2019
Dallas isn’t pursuing a trade right now, but it sure seems like the Mavs could use the services of Iguodala. With Luka Doncic (ankle) sidelined, if the Mavs were to make a move right now, it would boost their backcourt depth and provide a solid defensive stopper on the wing. This is more of a move that would position Dallas to compete with the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, two teams who are also in the running for Iggy’s services. We’ve seen owner Mark Cuban be aggressive in the trade market in the past, and it seems like a good season for Dallas to go all-in on trying to make a playoff run.
