The final chapter of Chris Peterson might take place in the Las Vegas Bowl as the Washington Huskies get set to take on the Boise State Broncos.
Neither side has an advantage as far as motivation going into this game. Boise State always has a chip on its shoulder going up against one of the big boys, and it’s the final game for Washington head coach Chris Peterson.
He will be the story of the game as the 55-year-old goes up against his former team. We’ll see if he ever gets back into coaching, but he’s at least stepping down for now as Jimmy Lake takes over the Washington head coaching job.
Boise State has to be upset it is not playing in a New Year’s Six bowl instead of Memphis, but the Broncos should be ready to spoil the Washington party. This is a 12-1 team heading into this game.
Game Time/TV Channel/Streaming

The Best Bet
Boise State just wins bowl games. It’s what the Broncos have done in seven of the past nine seasons. Washington on the other hand has gone 1-4 in bowl games under Chris Peterson. The slight of not playing in a bigger bowl game feeds into the Boise State advantage, and the Broncos cover the spread. Jacob Eason has been just OK at quarterback for Washington, while Boise State senior quarterback Jaylon Henderson has caught fire the past month with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions.
Pick: Boise State +4
