What to do with Deshaun Watson in Week 16 fantasy football

The Texans face a stout Bucs run defense, which means they might rely that much more on quarterback DeShaun Watson. We break down the Week 16 fantasy football start/sit implications.

Deshaun Watson comes into Week 16 averaging about 24 DraftKings fantasy points per game, second most among Week 16 quarterbacks. Watson ranks sixth in passing TDs (26), eighth in passer rating (100.4) and seventh in passing yards (3,668). Watson has also contributed significantly on the ground, ranking fourth at QB in rushing yards (376) and tied for second in rushing TDs (7).

Fantasy Football Analysis: Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson

Watson has an explosive matchup this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have been among the league’s worst at defending the pass. The Bucs have allowed the fifth most DraftKings fantasy points per game to QB and have allowed the third most passing yards. In addition, the game’s total points of 49.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook ranks second highest on Week 16’s schedule, so it is a good candidate to be high-scoring. Watson will take his elite fantasy scoring into a matchup that looks ripe for production through the air.
