O.J. Howard hasn’t put up eye-popping numbers as of late, but he has been on a bit of a roll. The Buccaneers tight end has totaled 180 receiving yards in his last three contests combined. He posted those numbers against the Lions, Colts, and Jaguars. These aren’t necessarily elite defenses, but he should benefit from facing the Houston Texans’ bottom five passing defense in Week 16.
Fantasy Football analysis: Buccaneers TE O.J. Howard
Howard has received at least five targets in each of his last three appearances. The Buccaneer haven’t been shy about airing it out lately, and now that Mike Evans has been ruled out for the remainder of the season and Chris Godwin won’t play, the rest of Tampa Bay’s pass catchers can share the sugar with what’s left. Howard should have plenty of space to operate against the Texans’ porous secondary. It’s just a matter of how much the offense looks to find him.
