Week 15 has left the building and Week 16 waits in the wings ready for it’s close up. We’ll give you a sneak peak at the best D/STs getting ready to clash in your daily fantasy lineups. Most weeks I go for cheaper plays at D/ST, as the top plays usually cost too much for the wide variance in outcomes. But sometimes I’ll pay up, especially if there is plenty of value on the slate.
Baltimore Ravens ($4,000) at Browns
The Ravens need this game to clinch a No. 1 seed and home field throughout the playoffs. The Browns embarrassed the Ravens earlier in the season in Baltimore but the Ravens’ offense and defense have both taken a step forward since then. Baker Mayfield has only topped 200 passing yards twice in his last five games and has thrown five interceptions in his last four games. They have been limiting their sacks of late but their offensive line still has weakness and the Ravens love to blitz and the Browns will likely be in passing mode in the second half.
Denver Broncos ($3,500) vs. Lions
Denver hasn’t been tearing up the league defensively but a home game against David Blough is a pretty juicy matchup. Blough has thrown four interceptions and been sacked seven times over his last two matchups, as he always ends up needing to come from behind late in games. That will likely happen again in Denver.
Indianapolis Colts ($3,300) vs. Panthers
The Panthers quarterback changed from Kyle Allen to Will Grier this week. That very well could be a change for the better as Allen was awful of late but the rookie will likely have trouble in his first start. Grier was sacked on 9 percent of his dropbacks in preseason and threw two touchdowns to three interceptions.
