UPDATE: Jameis Winston is ACTIVE for Week 16. Start him as you usually would.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a date with the Houston Texans on Saturday this week. And while the playoffs are out of reach for the Bucs, they have the chance to play spoiler and build some momentum heading into the offseason. But they’ll need a healthy Jameis Winston to do any of that, not to mention making a decision about what to do with him before he’s eligible for free agency this coming spring.

Winston did not practice, or at least he didn’t throw, on Tuesday. He was throwing on Wednesday, but only tennis balls. By Thursday, he was a full participant. If this routine sounds familiar, it is. He went through the same thing last week, and then he went out and threw for more than 400 yards and four touchdowns against the Lions.

Fantasy football analysis, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston

Winston is going to play. And it’s a good bet that he’ll continue his hot streak. Houston’s defense is prone to giving up big numbers against quarterbacks, and this game is expected to be a high-scoring affair. You can put Winston in your lineup with confidence.
