What to do with Devin Singletary, Frank Gore in Week 16 fantasy football

You should only expect one of these Bills running backs to be a factor against the Patriots in Week 16.

The Buffalo Bills’ running back duo of Devin Singletary and Frank Gore will face the New England Patriots’ stingy run defense Saturday, and you should be significantly higher on the rookie in Week 16. The Patriots have allowed the seventh-fewest rushing yards in the league (1,373) this year and forked up 135 yards on the ground to the Bills in Week 4. On average, New England has held opposing offenses under 100 rushing yards per game, but the Bills’ depth chart has undergone some changes since the last time these two teams met.

Fantasy football analysis: RBs Devin Singletary/Frank Gore

Gore racked up 109 rushing yards on 18 carries against the Patriots in Week 4, but is no longer the Bills’ RB1. The veteran has been overcome by Singletary, who has assumed the bulk of the workload out of the backfield in recent weeks. Singletary has averaged more than 17 attempts per game over the course of the last five weeks, accounting for 71.1 DKFP. Meanwhile, Gore has accounted for a measly 17.6 DKFP during that span.

Since New England has the second-best passing defense in the NFL through Week 15, you should expect the Bills to give Singletary a healthy helping of the workload in the ground game.

Start/Sit Recommendation:

Start Singletary. Sit Gore.
