Saturday’s seven-game Draftkings NBA lineup will have its fair share of stars, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis, LeBron James, James Harden and Russell Westbrook. But there will also be diamonds in the rough that could make or break for DFS play. Let’s take a look at some of the best value options you’ll be able to find on Draftkings tonight.
P.J. Tucker, PF/C, HOU vs. PHX ($4,500)
Tucker is getting a ton of minutes in Houston this year. The corner three specialist is averaging 36 minutes per contest and has been productive with his playing time as of late. Tucker has recorded a double-doubles in two of his last five games and was one point short of a double-double in another. He should have ample opportunity to contribute while the Suns scurry around in an attempt to contain James Harden.
George Hill, PG/SG, MIL vs. NY ($4,400)
Milwaukee has the best record (25-4) in the NBA and will take on a New York team that ranks 14th in the Eastern Conference. Hill has seen a bump in minutes because of Eric Bledsoe’s fibula fracture. He eclipsed 20 DKFP in five consecutive contests and could get his fair share of open looks against one of the worst defenses in the league.
Troy Brown, SG/SF, WAS vs. PHI ($4,800)
Brown is averaging a hair under 29 minutes per game over the course of his last five appearances, reaching double digits in scoring in four of those outings. Given that C.J Miles (wrist) and Jordan McRae (finger) have been ruled out, Brown’s should continue to have a prominent role.
Elfrid Payton, PG, NY vs. MIL ($4,700)
Although Payton has been operating exclusively as a backup since returning from a month-long injury, he’s easily been the point guard option with the highest upside. Before the Knicks blew out the Hawks Tuesday Payton had logged at least 25 minutes in three consecutive games. Look for him to continue this upward trend against the Bucks.
Gorgui Dieng, C, MIN vs. POR ($4,600)
Dieng posted 25 DKFP in 24 minutes while KAT dealt with a knee injury Wednesday. KAT is still listed as questionable for Saturday, but if he’s ruled out he should see decent burn for a second straight contest. Even if Gorgui goes back to his backup role he could should receive more than his usual 12.9 minutes. Especially against a team that’ll have Hassan Whiteside crashing the boards.
