The Los Angeles Rams announced their inactive report for Week 16 and kicker Greg Zuerlein is ACTIVE for their matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Zuerlein was listed as questionable with a quadricep injury after sitting out practice all week. The Rams worked out Brett Maher, but decided not to sign him.

Fantasy football analysis: Rams K Greg Zuerlein

A leg injury is concerning for a kicker, and considering he didn’t practice at all this week, you have to wonder how likely an aggravation could be. The Rams are facing a strong 49ers defense, so field goal opportunities instead of touchdown opportunities are a strong possibility.

If this is the last week of your season and there’s no implications for keeping Zuerlein on your roster for Week 17, I would seriously consider releasing him for a Sunday/Monday kicker. He could very well be fine and have a great game, but are you prepared to roll the dice on a potentially gimpy leg with the championship on the line?
