Marlon Mack was amidst one of his best performances of the season in Week 11, when he broke his hand and his season was derailed. Following a two week absence, Mack appeared to somewhat get back on track in Week 14 with 13 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown, however Week 15 brought his worst performance of the season. A hot start by the Saints steered the Colts away from the run game and Mack finished the game with 19 yards on 11 carries for a disappointing 1.9 fantasy points. Will Mack fare better against the Carolina defense in Week 16? We break down the fantasy implications below.
Fantasy football analysis, Indianapolis Colts running back, Marlon Mack
The Carolina Panthers are currently the No. 30 ranked defense against the run. Teams average 140 yards on the ground per game against them and they have allowed a league high 26 rushing TDs on the season. The Colts are seven point favorites in this match-up which lends to a favorable game script for Mack. In addition, the Panthers also have multiple defensive line/linebacker injuries to monitor as Mario Addison, Marquis Haynes, Vernon Butler, and Shaq Thompson all have yet to practice this week. All signs point to a favorable match-up for Mack.
