The Seattle Seahawks got a gem when they drafted DK Metcalf in the second round of this year’s NFL Draft. Through 14 games this season he’s got 819 yards and six touchdowns. It’s rare to find a rookie that you can reliably insert into your fantasy football lineup each week, but here he is.
This has been an interesting season for Lockett too. He’s had four games with at least 100 yards and a score, including a banger in Week 9 that saw him rack up 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Last week he had 120 yards and a score. The only problem with Lockett is that between those two games he had four outings where he hardly made a difference. That boom or bust play is hard to live with when you’re making fantasy decisions.
Fantasy football analysis, Seattle Seahawks WRs DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett
In terms of overall stats this season, Lockett has an edge, albeit a slight one. The problem is his week-to-week performance. Metcalf has been more consistent, topping 70 yards three times in his last five games.
Both could clean up against the Cardinals this week.
