The Los Angeles Chargers season has been a complete failure, but at least WR Mike Williams is going to finish things up strong. He’s got at least 14.3 fantasy points in each of the past three games, racking up 11 catches for 251 yards and two TDs in that stretch. His big-play ability has really stuck out recently and Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler’s presence in the offense hasn’t held Williams back. Now, he’ll get a great matchup against a division rival in the Oakland Raiders, who have lost four in a row to fall out of playoff contention.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams
So for me, Williams in another boom-bust play — it feels like a lot of these writeups I’ve had are the same situation. I lean more towards the boom given that the Raiders rank 25th in terms of points allowed to wideouts this season. I like how Williams doesn’t need a high volume of targets to return value and his chances of breaking one in this matchup are good. Still, I think he’s only really a FLEX option in most formats, maybe WR2 in a deeper league.
