Since the Bengals Week 9 bye, Mixon has seen 23.8 touches per game, which ranks him fourth in the league. During that stretch Mixon has been the fourth-best fantasy running back in standard and sixth-best in PPR.
Mixon has had a big turnaround after a poor start and it’s all thanks to them dedicating more work for him after the bye. His target numbers haven’t seen a bump unfortunately, but he still sees enough to help him a little, as he has 10 receptions on 11 targets over his last three games and three receiving touchdowns on the season.
Fantasy football analysis: Cincinnati Bengals, RB, Joe Mixon
This week Mixon faces the Dolphins, who have given up the most rushing yards to running backs on the year, along with the fourth-most fantasy points to the position. In his last two games, Mixon has rushed for the most yards allowed by the Browns and the Patriots in a game this season. He should be able to keep that going against the Dolphins.
Mixon’s better in standard right now but is a smash play in all formats, as the team looks to get him over 1,000 yards rushing and build momentum for him and possibly Joe Burrow going into next season.
