What to do with Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow in Week 16 fantasy football

Should Tyrell Williams or Hunter Renfrow get the nod in Week 16?

The Oakland RaidersTyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow will be opposite the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16, and we’re here to break down which of the wideouts makes more sense to play.

Williams started off 2019 on a roll and scored touchdowns in each of his first four games. But he’s cooled off since then and has only caught one touchdown pass in the last seven weeks. Renfrow on the other hand has seen a bit of an uptick in production. While he’s only scored two touchdowns on the year he’s been targeted at least five times for four consecutive weeks.

Fantasy Football analysis: Oakland Raiders WRs Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow

Williams only has two more receptions (38) than Renfrow (36) but has 173 more receiving yards. Williams is a more consistent deep threat, which makes it easier for him to rack up points with limited opportunities.

The Chargers have one of the better pass defenses in the NFL this year though, so you shouldn’t expect either to have a spectacular game. But if one of of the two breaks the defense open for a big play, it’ll probably be Williams.

Start/Sit Recommendation:

Start Williams because of his edge when it comes to getting open down the field.
