The Cleveland Browns have two solid running back options in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt that they’ll utilize against the Ravens’ top-tier run defense. We’ve taken a look at what makes sense ahead of the Week 16 matchup, and here’s what we think.
Nick Chubb has had a sensational year and is leading the NFL in rushing with 1,408 yards on the ground. He’s had ample opportunity to make his mark thanks to the 270 carries he’s gotten in 2019, which ranks third in the league. He’s put up some big numbers, but has also been streaky at times. Then there’s the other half of Cleveland’s one-two punch out of the backfield, Kareem Hunt. While his season high on the ground is 46 yards, he’s remained consistent in the six games he’s played in.
Fantasy football analysis: Browns RBs Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt
Chubb has gotten has averaged more than 19 carries per game and has significantly higher upside than Hunt, who is getting closer to six carries per contest. The volume of Chubb’s touches make it difficult to go with Cleveland’s RB2 outside of the deeper PPR leagues. Hunt has turned into a regular part of the Browns passing game, but holds little value in standard leagues.
Start/Sit Recommendation
Chubb remains a must start regardless of opponent. Hunt is worth a flex look in deep PPR leagues, but not much else.
