John Harbaugh told reporters on Monday that “ Lamar Jackson, Earl Thomas, Marshal Yanda and Brandon Williams all won’t play Sunday against Steelers.” This announcement was expected after the Ravens beat the Browns on Sunday to wrap up the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
The Steelers still have a chance to sneak into the playoffs despite their awful offensive play of late, so this is good news for them, as we will see Robert Griffin III start along with other backups. The list of player names Harbaugh listed were just core players and there will be others that sit.
Mark Ingram is already out due to a calf strain and Mark Andrews was dinged up last week as well. We shouldn’t expect to see Andrews or Hollywood Brown and others might just see limited time, like Gus Edwards, as he is Ingram’s direct backup.
