Marshawn Lynch has reunited with the Seattle Seahawks in their time of need according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Seahawks were hit with a flurry of injuries to their running backs as Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny and C.J. Prosise all sustained season-ending injuries toward the end of the season.

Rapoport also reports that Lynch is “in position to play this week” against the 49ers in a game that will either give the Seahawks the NFC West title or have them traveling on wild card weekend.

Lynch led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl in 2014 and will look to turn back the clock for another playoff run. He’s 33 and been away from football for over a year after getting injured last season, but he passed his physical and is going to give NFL fans something to cheer about.
